    Air Jordan 17
The Air Jordan 17 was designed by Wilson Smith III and released in 2002, being worn by Michael Jordan during his comeback with the Washington Wizards. This model was notably inspired by Jordan's love for jazz music, with design elements reminiscent of jazz notes and even a jazz-themed commercial released for the shoe's launch. The Air Jordan 17 was packed with technical features, including a lightweight Phylon midsole with a full-length shank plate and Zoom Air in the forefoot and heel for comfort and support. The shoe also came in a metal carrying case with a CD-ROM, making it one of the most expensive basketball shoes at its time of release.
    About the Brand
Air Jordan was established in 1984 following a partnership between Nike and basketball icon Michael Jordan. Initially designed by Peter Moore, the debut shoe, Air Jordan 1, launched in 1985, introducing bold color schemes and Nike's air-cushioning technology, setting new standards in athletic footwear. Michael Jordan's exceptional NBA career elevated the brand, leading to signature shoes featuring technological advancements such as visible Air units, carbon fiber plates, and innovative cushioning systems like Zoom Air. Over decades, Air Jordan expanded its influence through strategic endorsements of prominent athletes like Carmelo Anthony and collaborations with influential designers and brands, including Travis Scott, Dior, and OFF-WHITE, enhancing the brand's prestige and creative appeal.
